Creating sounds that don’t exist: Something old, something new.

Good question. I was faced with that very problem during the production of “Anne Manx and the Trouble on Chromius”, which put Anne Manx right on a politically corrupt planet.  While reading the script I imagined a run down, dirty metropolis with a mixture of old and new technology. Everything from earthbound automobiles to hovercrafts.  Communication devices ranging from land-line phones to walkie talkies to cell phones.  To realize this image, I needed to create traffic and street ambiences, as well as craft many different types of phone rings
