Marketing a film is intricate, expensive, and time consuming. Taking one direction typically eliminates the possibility of taking another direction, so planning a marketing program is absolutely essential.

I recently completed my first Red feature, and people have been asking me a lot about how the camera was to work with. Specifically, what people really want to know is "Is it better than film?"

Locations are far too often neglected on a low-budget film and they will ultimately have the greatest impact on how that film looks in the end. In fact, I think the DP often gets credit for making a film look good, when the location itself is actually doing most of the work.
