Loving the Villain
Traditionally, there is something enigmatic about a villain that does not apologize and who rejoices in his evil nature. Of course, these characters are irresistible to women who love the bad boys. If you find yourself writing and looking for conflict, perhaps this dynamic can up the stakes in your story.
It’s worked in the James Bond franchise tried and true but it goes much further back than the 1960’s.
