Joseph H. James Jr.

Joseph H. James, Jr. is a New York based producer, writer and actor. As a teen actor, he started his acting career on the CBN's soap opera "Another Life". He worked as a tv/film and looping actor in over two dozen shows. On stage he created the role of Owen Kaylor in award winning playwright Kia Corthron's Wake Up Lou Riser. James originated the role of Neville, playing opposite Isaiah Washington (Greys Anatomy) in Ned Eisenberg's A Soulful Scream of a Chosen Son.

James wrote several screenplays: The Truest of Friends, Soul Baby and adapted Terrence-Afer Anderson's play The Fifth into a screenplay with his writing partner David Allensworth. Soul Baby is being adapted into a novel, due out 2009.

James wrote, directed, produced and starred in the labor of love docudrama project "Arthur! A Celebration of Life", about tennis legend Arthur Ashe. He produced a full scale soundtrack, lead by 12 time Grammy award winner Alicia Keys. The docudrama has screened in over a dozen film festivals. In between show business gigs, he worked as an east coast marketing manager and event planner for a large promotional company.
