BREAKING IT DOWN: YOUR STORY

Taking a look at a script from a building block or mechanics point of view, a story should be able to capture a reader’s interest within the first couple of pages ideally (for a feature it’s usually the first five to seven pages). This is the hook, what grabs your reader, and what will keep them reading on to the very end.
